The Lattice Chainring is one of our proudest moments in F5 history. We went back to the drawing board with this one and came up with something technically innovative and intrinsically beautiful.
In other words, it’s freaking light and euphemistically gorgeous. Precision CNC milled from a single piece of 7075 aluminium, the dual-plane cutouts maintain strength whilst reducing the chainring’s weight to a mere 78g. We had it tested at two facilities and it passed with flying colors, which is why we’re giving a lifetime warranty.
We’ve radially brushed the ring and it is deep anodized in a range of colors to give the industrial feel we strive for at F5… and the result is something we’re chuffed to say is made in China.

We made the decision to produce the lightest frame possible while simultaneously increasing structural integrity. To achieve this we had to use a Scandium tube set. The final result is the Unknown Bikes Type-1 Track Frame... Weighing in at 2lbs 9oz this is by far the lightest frame we've produced. The first rendition comes in an anodized black with our logo lasered into the down tube. Our signature UBC logo is also cnc'd into the head tube. By using unconventional tube shapes for increased lateral stiffness we are sure that it will bring you to the finish line first...

Remember the Mushroom hubs? Well, the hubs that we use here have an identical drivetrain. The bearings and axles are the same quality that we use in our high end Mushhroom hubs. However, in order to keep the price down we used a standard hub shell. Do not be fooled... these spin and ride like a dream!
